Run With The Cops 5K

On Saturday, April 20 the Owensboro Police Department will host our 9th annual Run With the Cops 5K run/walk.  The event is open to runners and walkers of all skill levels.  Costumes are encouraged and prizes will be awarded for best dressed.  Proceeds from the event go to our specialty units, The D.A.R.E program and Camp K.O.P.S. (Kids Obtaining Positive Structure).  

Overall Male and Female awards, plus age group awards for 14-under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+.

The 5K race is followed by our annual Police Awareness day which will be held at the Owensboro Police Department from 10:00am to 1:00pm.  We will display a variety of police units and equipment and will also include K-9 demonstrations and a tour of the department. There will also be a bike rodeo, corn hole and other activities for kids.  Hamburgers and hot dogs will be provided.  We hope to interact with the public during this event during and after the run.
