1. Lewisburg Haunted Cave, Lewisburg, KY

Imagine entering a dark and spooky cave entrance and descending 80 feet below ground only to find your worst nightmare! That’s what you’ll find at the Lewisburg Haunted Cave, consistently voted best haunt for several years in the area. Clowns, live bats, special lighting (so you can see what’s lurking down there), and so many thrills and chills! Good deal for the cost.

2. Skeleton’s Lair Scream Park, Scottsville, KY

High energy, loud screams, and five haunted attractions await you at Skeleton’s Lair Scream Park in Scottsville. If a haunted house isn’t enough to scare the daylights out of you, try a haunted woods and a haunted hayride through a ghost town! And don’t forget to visit the Doomsday Doll Factory where creepy dolls come to life. Diapers not included.

3. Raven’s Cross Haunted Village, Cave City, KY

You may have learned about the terrible Black Plague that struck Europe in the early 1300s and killed over half the people in the known world. That’s nothing like experiencing it firsthand and learning about the legend of Raven’s Cross Haunted Village. You’ll learn about the treatments that were as bad as the plague itself, and what happened if you were blamed for bringing this sickness to the townspeople. But don’t worry…there’s a doctor nearby.

4. The Mayhem Mansion, Morning View, KY

The time is the early 1930s and Prohibition has just ended. The place is the home of Robert Havorford and his family, and he is mourning the death of his eight-year-old daughter. To help him in his grief, he invites the townsfolks to a lavish dinner where he supplies his finest bootleg whiskey, but as the night goes on, his guests begin to die mysteriously, including Mr. Havorford himself. 6. Sinister Tombs Haunted House, Eastview, KY

This haunted house has it all—an old school, wooden trails, covered bridges, and an experience you’ll never forget! The citizens of Eastview, Kentucky, are suffering strange deaths by a large wolf-like creature that roams the wooded hillside. Can you escape? 7. The Haunted Hospital, Scottsville, KY

8. Jack O’Lantern Spectacular, Louisville, KY

While not a traditional scary Halloween adventure, the Jack O’Lantern Spectacular in Louisville is perfect for families with children who aren’t ready for fright nights and for adults who just don’t enjoy celebrating the holiday that way. Over 5,000 carved pumpkins are displayed nightly mid-October to early November each year, and cover a 1,500-foot trail. Music is included with some of the scenes, creating a unique family-friendly event for all ages. 

9. The USS Nightmare, Newport, KY

Designed for death, the USS Nightmare sits moored along the banks of the Ohio River in Newport, Kentucky, waiting for your visit. All of your senses will be on high alert as you see, hear, feel, and touch what waits for you aboard this floating laboratory gone wrong. Designed after the William S. Mitchell, a dredge ship that mysteriously broke free and was swept downstream, slamming into four bridges along the way, the USS Nightmare embodies, or disembodies, the people who were aboard that fateful night. 10. Danger Run, Louisville, KY

Another non-traditional Halloween event that’s sure to curl your toes, melt your moustache, and generally scare the dickens out of you, Danger Run in downtown Louisville is an adventure you don’t want to miss. Gather your friends, pick your location, and set out to solve riddles that take you around an area to two of the city’s best haunted houses. Along the way, you’ll run into all kinds of creatures, dead and alive, who are committed to stopping you. Maybe you’ll be committed! It’s all good fun, and you’ll even have a chance to win prizes.
